Ticketek Parent TEG Names Cameron Hoy CEO as Brad Banducci Exits After Short Tenure

Ticketek Entertainment Group is changing chief executives for the second time in just over a year, with Brad Banducci set to step down at the end of May and longtime Ticketek executive Cameron Hoy appointed Group CEO effective June 1.

TEG announced the move Wednesday, presenting the transition as part of its succession planning and the next stage of the company’s growth. Banducci said he joined the group to perform a specific role in setting TEG up for its next phase, and that the time was right to hand leadership to Hoy.

“When I joined the Group just over a year ago, I came in to do a specific role — to set the Group up for the next horizon of growth,” Banducci said. “I felt the time was right to transition leadership of the Group.”

Banducci, the former Woolworths Group CEO, was named chief executive in March of 2025, with longtime CEO Geoff Jones moved into the chairman role. At the time, TEG framed Banducci’s appointment as the beginning of a new chapter for the company after Jones’ 14-year run leading its expansion from Ticketek into a broader live entertainment, ticketing, digital and data business.

Hoy’s elevation also follows his 2023 appointment as TEG’s Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Ticketing, a move that expanded his role beyond Ticketek’s day-to-day ticketing operations. In that position, Hoy was tasked with overseeing TEG’s data science, analytics, digital, product, technology and global ticketing operations.

Hoy has worked with Ticketek since 2007 and has more than 25 years of experience across technology, e-commerce, media and entertainment. Before being named COO, he had served as Ticketek’s Managing Director and oversaw TEG’s ticketing operations globally.

“TEG exists to partner with the world’s best venues, promoters and rights-holders to connect fans to the moments that matter most,” Hoy said in Wednesday’s announcement. “I am honoured to lead such an entrepreneurial business and team.”

While TEG’s announcement described an orderly leadership transition, the timing places Hoy in charge at a more complicated moment for the company. The Australian Financial Review reported Wednesday that Banducci’s exit comes as TEG’s private equity owner weighs options for the business following the loss of several major contracts that have cut into Ticketek’s position in the Australian ticketing market.

That context makes the move more notable than a standard succession announcement. Banducci was brought in only last year as the executive chosen to lead TEG’s next phase after Jones’ long tenure, while Hoy now steps into the top role from the operational and ticketing side of the business, where he has had direct oversight of the company’s technology and ticketing infrastructure.

TEG remains one of the dominant live entertainment and ticketing companies in the Asia-Pacific region, operating more than 30 brands across ticketing, live events, data and technology. But like other major ticketing operators, its business is heavily shaped by venue, promoter and rights-holder relationships, making the loss or retention of major contracts central to its competitive position.

Hoy will officially assume the Group CEO role on June 1.
