TTC, Live Nation Canada Bring Back Free Rides Home From Rogers Stadium Concerts

Toronto concertgoers have one less thing to worry about this summer: the ride home.

The TTC and Live Nation Canada are teaming up for a second year to offer free rides home from Rogers Stadium after concerts, giving fans a transit-friendly way to clear out after some of the city’s biggest live music nights.

Under the partnership, Live Nation Canada will sponsor complimentary TTC trips from Downsview Park, Sheppard West and Wilson stations on Line 1 Yonge-University following Rogers Stadium shows. Fans can simply show their concert ticket to TTC staff to access the free ride.

“With thousands of music lovers expected to visit Rogers Stadium for this year’s concert season, taking transit is the best way to get around,” Mayor Olivia Chow said in a statement, adding that the partnership gives fans “an accessible and reliable way home.”

The 2026 Rogers Stadium concert season kicks off Saturday, May 23, with the first of five Bruno Mars shows, setting the stage for a busy summer at the Toronto venue. Live Nation Canada said the stadium will host 20 concerts and more than one million fans this season.

“This summer, 20 concerts and more than one million fans will make Rogers Stadium one of the most exciting destinations for live music in Toronto,” said Wayne Zronik, president of business operations for Live Nation Canada. “Transit is the best way to get to and from the stadium and we are very pleased to offer free TTC rides home to concert goers.”

TTC officials say the free ride program is designed to ease congestion, improve crowd flow and make public transit the obvious choice for fans heading to and from the venue. According to TTC CEO Mandeep S. Lali, about 25,000 people used the TTC each night to travel to and from Rogers Stadium shows last year.

“We know that taking transit reduces congestion and provides fans with a faster alternative than driving,” Lali said, noting that the partnership makes it “even easier for everyone to choose the TTC to get them home.”

To handle the rush, the TTC will run additional service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. Fans are encouraged to use Downsview Park, Sheppard West or Wilson stations, all of which are within walking distance of Rogers Stadium.

The TTC will also deploy extra buses on several nearby routes, including 84 Sheppard West, 96 Wilson, 106 Sentinel, 108 Driftwood, 120 Calvington, 128 Stanley Greene and 184 Ancaster Park. Additional staff will be stationed at Downsview Park, Sheppard West and Wilson to help with wayfinding.

For fans with accessibility needs, a dedicated shuttle will operate between Wilson Station and Rogers Stadium before and after each show.

Commuter parking will be available at Sheppard West, Pioneer Village, Highway 407 and Finch West stations, though city officials are making the message clear: for concert nights at Rogers Stadium, transit is the move.
