Sphere is going big for America’s 250th birthday — and in true Sphere fashion, the celebration will be impossible to miss.
The Las Vegas venue will debut a custom Exosphere creative titled “Nation of Wonder,” a two-minute audio-visual tribute to American innovation, creativity and technological achievement. The piece will light up the world’s largest LED screen with a sweeping look at milestones from the telegraph, electricity and cinema to the moon landing and beyond, before landing on Sphere itself as a modern symbol of American ingenuity.
“Nation of Wonder” will run on the Exosphere from July 1 through July 3 at the top of each hour from 7 p.m. to midnight PT. On July 4, the display will appear at the top and bottom of each hour from 7 p.m. to midnight PT.
Sphere is also adding a little movie magic to the moment. For the first time, the Wizard from The Wizard of Oz at Sphere will appear on the Exosphere, stepping outside the immersive production inside the venue to deliver a special birthday message to America.
Tickets for The Wizard of Oz at Sphere are on sale now at thesphere.com for multiple showtimes daily.
