The third annual Montreux Jazz Festival Miami has announced its initial lineup, featuring a mix of legendary performers and contemporary artists. The festival will take place from February 27 to March 1 at The Hangar at Regatta Grove in Coconut Grove.
Headliners include Nile Rodgers with his band CHIC, six-time Grammy-winning band TOTO, and Colombian electro-tropical group Bomba Estéreo. Other early confirmed performers include Cuban percussionist and singer Pedrito Martinez and French-Caribbean soul-funk bassist and vocalist Adi Oasis.
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, led by multi-instrumentalist Troy Andrews, and seven-time Grammy and Academy Award-winning musician Jon Batiste will open the festival with a New Orleans Celebration jam session on February 27.
Batiste, who is the festival’s co-founder and artistic director shared,“Montreux has always been about bringing people together through music and breaking down the walls between styles and cultures,” Batiste said.
“Bringing that energy to Miami has been such a joy. The city has its own rhythm and soul, and every night here feels alive in a way that’s completely unique. You never know what’s going to happen, and that’s what makes it so special.”
Mathieu Jaton, CEO of Montreux Jazz Festival shared, “Montreux has always been about creating moments that feel real and unrepeatable. Miami shares that same creative spirit, and each year the connection between the two feels stronger. This festival is about people coming together, discovering new sounds, and celebrating the power of music to bring joy and unity.”
Additional performers and special guests will be announced in the coming months. For more information and additional details, festivalgoers can visit the official Montreux Jazz Festival Miami website.
