The country group behind Zac Brown Band are heading out on a North American tour this summer to support their latest record, The Owl.
The “Roar with the Lions Tour” follows their previously-announced “Owl Tour” which will hit cities across the U.S. this spring. Touring will pick-up again with the new outing on May 24 in Gilford, New Hampshire for a pair of shows at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. Throughout the summer, they’ll make stops in Hartford, Toronto, Hershey, Atlanta, and Chicago, hitting venues along the way like the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, New York City’s Citi Field, the Moda Center in Oregon, and Denver’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. They’ll wrap-up at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia on October 18. During the trek, Gregory Alan Isakov will provide support on select dates.
“Our summer tour is inspired by the folklore surrounding the figure of a lion,” Alexander “Zac” Brown said in a statement. “I am a Leo, and all of the guys in the band are lions. They exemplify strength, courage, intelligence, and loyalty, and work in tandem to defend their territory and one another. The crowd is our pride – rooted in togetherness and fiercely loyal. They always show up for each other, no matter what, just like our fans always show up for us. We can’t wait to hear you roar with us!”
The Owl, the group’s seventh sutdio album, dropped this past September via BMG. The LP, which follows 2017’s Welcome Home, features singles “Someone I Used To Know” and “Leaving Love Behind.” The record debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200.
